This is written for a friend......someone that has been very dear to me.....still is....but at this time in our relationship there is alot of hurt and distance. There is no rhyme and you may not even understand the emotions.....but I just had to write it. Basically it is written for a female friend, not a romantic partner.....but a very special part of me. The Distrance Grows For a long time we have been a part Of one anothers lives. One another's hearts. Yet~ It feels as though we've begun To walk separate paths. Distance has grown between us....... I don't know how it got there, or how long it will last. I only know That it hurts me friend. It is far too easy for people to Take advantage of one another. And before you realize it..... It's too late. I fear~ That it is I that have taken you for granted. You have been such a beautiful addition to my life. An amazingly beautiful gift. I've learned so much about life, About love, About me.......through you. You've shown me a side of me That I didn't even know existed. You've brought so much love and beauty Into my life........ So much happiness. I guess I've grown so comfortable And so used to having you in my life That I've forgotten to appreciate you. Forgotten to cherish you. So~~ I am going to take this opportunity To say THANK YOU. Take this opportunity to tell you How you have changed my life Just by being a part of it. My life had been filled with so much Pain......so much self- hate..... But you have shown me love. Through you....... I've learned that there is more to life Then just pain and betrayal. You've given me the gift of sight. The ability to see life Through a different set of eyes. Eyes......that see more then just black and white. My dear friend, you will never know how much I adore you. You will never know.....how much you have Helped me to grow. You've taught me that love....is a stronger force then hate. You've taught me that despite the darkness There is light. You've taught me.......that there are things that I can accomplish..... Things~ I can believe in. You've taught me the meaning of unconditional love. You have always believed in me...... Supported me..... You've supported everything that I have ever done. Or wanted to do. You've given me praise, Even when I may not have fully deserved it. You make me feel strong. You make me feel confident. Most importantly~ You make me feel loved. In all honesty, I love you ....... Because you give me a new outlook on life.... on love......on myself. I like who I am when I am with you. When I look into your eyes I see ME. I see the part of your heart That I reside. When I look into your eyes..... I see the me that I want to be. The Me that I know I can be. I see the Me that you believe I am. So many times I have looked into the mirror And I have not been pleased With the reflection that is staring back at me. When I look into the mirror..... Into my eyes, I see hate......you see love. I see pain......you see forgiveness. I see darkness.......you see light. I see ugliness............where you see beauty. You have added to my insight..... Challenged me to learn and grow. You've given me the space and the guidance I needed in order to accomplish the most Simplistic, and even some difficult tasks. You've been my strength.....my foundation. My mentor....my friend. You've been so much more to me then you will ever know. And for that I'd like to thank you. Thank you for showing me that life can be Beautiful and bright...... Thank you for giving me The gift of love, The gift of friendship. The gift of you. I can only pray that I become half the woman that you are. You are now.....and always will be ...... One of the most amazing women I know. There is distance now between us friend, I'm sure that in time, The pain and the tension will end..... but in the meantime, I just needed to tell you That I think you are incredible...... And I love you. I can only hope that this distance between us Is only temporary..... But if it isn't Please know that I am truly sorry for my mistakes. Please know, That I do now, And always will cherish you. You are a beautiful spirit, In every sense of the word. I love you........because you love me. No matter my faults, My mistakes, My past......present....future...... You've loved me. I love you because...... You make me want to be a better person. You've taught me to be a stronger person. You've given me some of your strength..... When mine was so obviously depleting. You've given me so many Beautiful and amazing gifts........ But..... The most beautiful gift of all Was the gift of your friendship. So Thank you. |

Thank you.....i hope that it is a good message. For all of you that are wondering....NO , i did not give it to her. Not yet. We've never really been the kind of women that openly discuss our feelings like this.....so, I'm not sure if i should give it to her or not. Please let me know what you think. |

Ok all........opinions please......i'm intending to give it to her this wknd......should i slip it into her birthday gift or give it to her on a separate occasion? |
