+*+*+

Standing on a cliff top,
Looking out to sea,
A whirling wind breathes spirit
In to the soul of me.

With arms extending skyward,
I reach for glowing moon,
I'm lost in the moment
And soon reel in a swoon.

While swaying to and fro,
His spirit name I call,
Please fill me with your starlight,
Lest down to depths I fall.

As strength drains from my body,
Listless arms slip down each side,
I'm standing there, all alone,
No vestige left of pride.

Sullen and forgotten,
I turn to make my leave,
When stayed by a velvet touch
On my silky sleeve.

Lips of sweet cloud softness,
Breathe life into soul of me,
Arms of oak pull me close
And set my spirit free.

I reach my arms to heaven,
In love's sweet afterglow,
For I was shot with starlight,
From my spirit lover's bow.

Standing on a cliff top,
Looking out to sea,
A whirling wind breathes spirit,
In to the soul of me.

Linda:  this absolutely took my breath away. I've read it many times and so strongly feel every image you've written.  Wow, into my library it goes! I think I need a shot of moonlight!  ~K~

Patricia ---and all other readers thus far---I just made a plethora of changes to this poem and I do believe it is now much improved in flow and imagery.

I preview my poems before submitting them, but there is something about seeing it on the big screen that makes me get a clearer picture!

As I have said before, if anyone chooses to "keep" one of my poems, they should check back again later the next day to see if they might want to save a "new and hopefully improved" edition!

Thanks Pat for your enthusiastic response!

~ May the winds of good fortune blow in yours and your family's way!

(smiles) Awwwwwwwww, this is so spiritually beautiful, sweet friend, I always have dreams about me standing in a meadow or by an ocean and then my dream girl comes sliding down a rainbow or sliding gently in the wind to me! (kiss on cheek) This is gorgeous, sweet friend, may your love always make you feel happy, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Linda, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!
