Non-Profit Disorganization
By: Noah Eaton
8/22/03

This is a message in a bottle to the speechless
This is an S.O.S to the disproportionate
Nature has long defied these white flags
So what's with all this practical intuition
That always leaks with infidelity?

If my life was predetermined by astrology
Then what is the use of bragging?
Everyone would know you well all too soon
Time to cover up all these lines
And allow Nature to disorganize
Can you blame your children for not cleaning their rooms?

Someday I'll escape
Expectation and wake
To a verdictless wild dream
Someday I'll look back
On all this and laugh
When it's valid to say nothing is as it seems
It's time to establish this non-profit disorganization
Time to build a levee to the final fantasy...

Every Saturday Momma watches Trading Spaces
Paints walls solid colors in all sorts of places
And thumbs through the wonders of Feng Shui
She always works at a strenuous pace
Time elapses, then comes a day
When her own mind seems untidy and ran astray...

If my life was predetermined by astrology
Then what is the use of bragging?
Everyone would know you well all too soon
Time to cover up all these lines
And allow Nature to disorganize
Can you blame your children for not cleaning their rooms?

Someday I'll escape
Expectation and wake
To a verdictless wild dream
Someday I'll look back
On all this and laugh
When it's valid to say nothing is as it seems
It's time to establish this non-profit disorganization
Time to build a levee to the final fantasy...

When my room is unkempt and dirty
At least it makes me feel at home
Why do you suppose everyone gets bored constantly
And before you know it your children get old?
So I'll drive this Mystery Machine into this enigma
And go with the flow...

If my life was predetermined by astrology
Then what is the use of bragging?
Everyone would know you well all too soon
Time to cover up all these lines
And allow Nature to disorganize
Can you blame your children for not cleaning their rooms?

Someday I'll escape
Expectation and wake
To a verdictless wild dream
Someday I'll look back
On all this and laugh
When it's valid to say nothing is as it seems
It's time to establish this non-profit disorganization
Time to build a levee to the final fantasy...

Noah, what sign are you anyway?
How deeply you go, only to leave me between tears.

I hope you're well Dear Noah~

Quite a collage of truths, observations, contemplations, and wisdoms.  Anyone ever tell you that you're an old soul?  And I like the closing lines...

I'd like to echo Mark's wonderful reply! Noah, you are amazing! Your mind is as big as your heart!--and that is saying a great deal. You wear so many hats as a poet--romantic, social activist, educator, philosopher, lyricist, adventurer, spiritulist, naturist...the list goes on and on!

Love ya, Angel Man!

Excellently penned!
An awesome write!

As your last line states, the solution
would be to look in the last place ~~ FIRST!

Always remember to keep them fluffed
but, never, EVER ruffle them!

AHA! now I know where to look for my sanity!

LOL.
Loved this write Noah, it's truthful, and full of a open degree of honesty not often seen.

"If my life was predetermined by astrology
Then what is the use of bragging?"

Please keep in mind that we ALL have a free will, thus astrology does not rule our decisions in life.

Great write here Noah.
