When beauty strikes
  there's no time to dodge
--too busy staring.

Too loud the features are,
so hard their hold on me
   that
escape evaporates into the thin
  evening mist.

A whimsical green-blue
  with blonde above in streaks
frames her face
--my eyes betray the baeuty
  (i know it now).

The face, fine enough
  to be defined
but loose enough for imagination
  to have its play.

The body doesn't
  make the face lie:
sleek and thin
  yet with enough mass
   to make the curves
    perfect.

O, she turns me to stone
--a spell unbroken
until her touch comes,
  although it may never.

If this stone is to be my prison
I am glad she is the jailor.
