What was to be a renaissance
Is now but a stillbirth
Tall brick walls have been built
The mind's eye has been sewn shut
The powers that be made this decree
Uniformity is to prevail

Blood...only one shade of red.
Sun...only one shade of yellow.
Grass...only one shade of green
Ocean...only one shade of blue.

All dynamic has been cleansed
The soul of existence has been reaped
Those who wander off the beaten path
Are put inside four walls

Confined away from our realm of reason
To bring orgasmic pleasure to the vapid

Well done, GreenChaos - This is a great entree to Passions in Poetry.  You've captured the contemporary mentality nicely... I'll be looking forward to reading more of your work...

(big hugggsssssss) This is a very powerful debut, dearest friend, it too troubles me deeply that many still are forced to be incarcerated to protect the many left of us, for I believe the key to making harmony is to unite but not conform; to respect each other and what makes us special, which may not happen in a long time when things seem blasphemous or derogatory to one another! (sad sigh) Well done, dearest friend, I love it! Welcome to Passions, sweet GreenChaos, may you be inspired by all of us here as we will all be inspired by your lovely words! I can't wait to read more of your wondrous poetry, sweet friend, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,
Noah Eaton
