A little red box,
With a shine ring,
24k platinum it was,
Just like I had always imagined it,

I remember the look on her face,
God, it was beautiful,
Magical tears,
She didn't say a word....overcome,

The white lace,
A deep breath as she walked the asle,
........that look,
Magical tears,
I didn't say a word.........

The screen,
A figure....a boy,
Months...months....,
A cry....a snip,
.......that look,
Magical tears,
We didn't say a word.........

She lies asleep,
I watch....amazement,
Your breath..your beauty,
That wonderful smile,
Just to hold you........

Ring.....ring.....
....ring
(AWAKE!!!)

I open my eyes,
Looking over at the little red box,
Setting on my dresser,
The pain of reliving,
"NO" everyday....

Clever twist!
May this "nightmare" become
a romantic "dream"!

'Tiz feathers that make the bird -
Always remember to keep them fluffed
but, never, EVER ruffle them!
