Every morning she steps out on the porch And every morning the neighborhood cats Come up for their morning ritual The cat lady goes inside And the cats wait pateintly A few minutes later The cat lady emerges with food She places the bowls on the porch Then she notices a cat with a limp So she takes the cat in And sets its leg She sets up the cat in his own private room She goes back out to observe the other cats Make sure no more are sick or hurt The cat lady loves all And takes care of all The neighborhood cats The neighborhood cats Are her cats And she shall care for them all Until the day she passes away Cold hands means a warm heart |
