How can you wrap so much pain and strength into so few words? I love this line drawn in the sand... even as the knowing aches.

Fools abound.

Sometimes just thinking about my own half of this species leaves me short of breath....What?? I'm one of those???

Helen, I don't blame you one bit!!! If
someone's love is not given frely as a gift,
it's not worth anything to start with!!!!
Whether it's from a man or a (wo)man.

I'm glad this was bumped back up!! Sorry I
didn't see it the first time around.

This should not be a feeling of odd

loving is free, a heart's gift from God

Priceless, the soul, which carries it out

paying this toll is what love is about
I hear the Ocean's roar, yet again.

I refer you to the seasons. We here in the north have so accute an appreciation for spring. Because we know the winter. Yes, many have love seemingly knocking at thier collective doors. But only to we who suffer aloneness and await "the spring" can come love with all the true appreciation. Just one humble man's opinion
