reminiscence and
dream & reflections of things
wayfaring voices concealed far away
in perspectives further than I had ever
expected yet surely somehow they
had to be known to surface
in dream too close
to home
life at
best is a

dull ‘ol chap but
when it comes to the
brambles the crunches and
the too much aching and I've just
got to stop the pouring rain and quit
the breaking of love on wings flying
away on gleam and the waking

feeling that splinters
journeys in
the living
of day and
its fracturing of
ice and melting of snow
under the dream of stress and the
weariness with its helpless pain that won’t

play you slow and I know it's the wrong time but I'm
in a mood and I'll keep it low along with the moon and
my profile till the daylight comes & ends night long
but please send me a rainbow in the drifting
dawn like when daddy’s boat was
once in the fog and no one
knew not a hand
thereon how
daddy was
blind but could
tell by the smell and the
shift of the wind and the cool of the air
just where we had been as if he had sure all along seen

Speaking of ghosts, wouldn't you know here comes mine again...

Dale

Have I read this before?  I remember so well the last part...the visuals of a man who sees with his ears and with his sure knowledge of where he is.  It is so poignant!

Lucky~
I would smile a tender smile at the love I read in this piece~

Easy to see why he would have been your best friend~

What a lovely voyage on memories afloat~

Always ... always ... I admire your talent~

Tee-Hee ... that title could be shortened~
But I wasn't even 'almost' tempted to skip it~
