*** Some people live this way. Do you? And will you continue after reading this work? ***

Responsible Life

No time to cry
Laundry must be done
No time to analyze
Dishes cry out from a sink grave
No time to reflect
Life awaits to be lived
Or the dust shall collect on a happy home
Home must be CLEAN
Soul must be CLEANSED
Of course it is
Onward and upward
My tasks are set
And I march forward
Damned tear -- on my accommodating face
Never forgetting
I am a great possessor
Of a Responsible Life

I have only my genius to declare!

Wow, this sounds somehow familiar! But I am sure a little dust won't prevent me from creating my very happy moments! Responsible yes, it's all our choice.
Tears can flow DURING the daily tasks ... they relax ... and prepare the magical moments.
Beautiful write and lovely pic!
Love, Margherita

I'm a slacker, I wait for laundry and dishes untill it just HAS to be done..
I'm a teenager, what can I say?

Great write.

Great point to ponder!
I've spent (wasted?) many years
in the "musts" and the "shoulds,"
having little, if any, time to
cry or think or reflect -- even
to play.

I'm now retired, and am making up
for all those years, with priorities
revised and ample time to play, cry
and reminisce - I awakened to this
one day, when I took the time to reflect!

WELL written!

'Tiz feathers that make the bird -
Always remember to keep them fluffed
but, never, EVER ruffle them!

I use to be a clean freak...now I am much better...I can leave dishes until the morning...but I still get much satisfaction out of a clean house...

Nice writing.
