Angels Dancing, This I Know

Go to sleep, soft, soft sleep.
I pray the Lord my soul to keep
I hear you whisper soft, and sweet
while you sleep, and angels meet.

Wisping gently, softly, over your head,
I kneel down beside your bed.
Watching you tiny little one.
with countenance of the midday sun.

Little face shining all aglow.
Fair of face with an angel smile.
You are seeing Angels dancing, this I know!
Keeping you safe all the while.

While you dream in Angel style
and that tiny little face is all aglow
and I see your angelic smile.
It's nice to see Angels dancing, this I know!

Earth Angel- I was hoping for that soothing feeling to come to whoever read, because that's what it did for me. Just thinking back.

BC-Yes. This is a treasured memory. I was remembering back when my sons were babies, and that angelic little glow babies get when they sleep! Precious memories for sure.

passing shadow- I am glad you found comforting thoughts in this. When I think back to their little faces so sweet while they slept was always a comfort that they were safe.
