Of Weaves and Leaves

I wove a weave of make believe
Heard my voice to fly the glen
Danced a dance of dancing leaves
And heard the echoes cry again

I watched the palette of the sky
Effervescent in its core
Whisper pallor slow to die
Etching symphonies of awe

I lift my head to flense the air
To feel the breeze upon my cheek
To breathe the essence of its fair
A touch of life at pleasures peek

My mind was lost a phantoms preen
A moment of poetic rhyme
And wept a tear to beauties scene
Served in spheres of changing time

It was the closest I have come
To know the thing I have become

what you have become is my morning sun.
LOVE the imagery and respectful awe of natures beauty in this Sy-babers.
You weave your words with spun gold my dear winkie poetic prophet.

JM,
Winkie poet with a glase
A knight that turns a phrase
But Randy with his awkward flips
Would rather kiss you on the lips.

Marge,
If I could I would
But since I can't
I'll stay and pant.

I always have loved your flow! Love this

Seymour, your use of vocabulary never ceases to astound me, and the way you use the ABAB rhyme scheme so effortlessly...the stories you tell of your days in life in these words...amazing!

Dear Seymour, do forgive me for being so late. We have a new addition to our family. She has four legs...a tail like a flag, and I think she has eyes....not sure, there is alot of hair around them. hee hee. Our new pup, Meeka! She love poetry by the way, and I just read her your wonderful poem. She is now napping....I guess it soothed her so.
Anyway, if I miss serving up goodies on certain mornings, Meeka is the reason why. Tonight we will have evening tea with warm butter tarts.     yummy. Hugs to you dear poet sir. Chris
