She salvaged the sunlight-
a small wooden box;
She is sorry
like midnight dusk.

She banished the rain
with a flick of her tongue;
sighed in sparkles
of warm ocean night.

She guarded the dawn,
singing soft ancient rhyme;
signed her love
in a palmprinted sand.

She sent me a river
from a quiet moon's tide.

She is driftwood.

Steal my summer.

Sometimes we have to fall off the page
just in order to get back on top...

This is more than love, it is a slip of summer's song...
