where the wild flowers grow

Oh
the wind will carry
my name to you.
And you shall not
forget it.

The sky holds
the earth,
never bound.

Amazing how
darkness
makes footprints
on the dirt road
along the side
of the ditch
that grows
as weeping
willows..

we'll never know
why they cry.

Let's remember
who we've been
all along,
deep down we knew

that pulling the plug
was the best thing
we could do..

let's not
forget
that we are
good enough
for ourselves..

The sky needs no one,
though it's held the earth..

it could always
just let go..

So why can't we?

You? are the best y know that?

This gave me goosebumps, all the way through.

Let's remember
who we've been
all along,
deep down we knew

that pulling the plug
was the best thing
we could do..

let's not
forget
that we are
good enough
for ourselves..

This so perfectly captures, all that makes sense, and all that doesn't. It was the only way it could have gone, but why we can't let it go? perhaps because we saw another way it could have been. but maybe i'm just a stoopid dreamer. and thats just it. i knew who i was, and he? is trying to be someone he never will be.

there are so many beautiful lines in this..it'll be printed and on my wall.

hugs to you Meg, thanks for understanding so completely. always.

I'll finish rambling now. :0

Instant karma's gonna get you.

Beautiful ....

the various roads of any circumstance can be winding and difficult
but you map loving hearts well!

Wish you both a safe journey,
                    and God speed!

On the very last page and I almost missed it.  This poem was pretty awesome and no matter who it was for they would have apperciated it just for the purity in it.

Meg . . . what an intense write
and this:

Let's remember
who we've been
all along,
deep down we knew

that pulling the plug
was the best thing
we could do..

yes, we know but damn it is a hard pull

What a beautiful sentiment to a beautiful person . . .
