Tell me if you know,
when old tears dry do they go
where broken hearts go?

I don't know, icebox...I think maybe they are both recycled and used again.  Hugs for the sadness in this.

Yes....the salt helps preserve it, so it's easier to repair and bring back to life when the time comes.....

this is what I know
a heart that bleeds will still cry
true tears never dry

a casualty of life
broken hearts they have no home
they forever roam

in loves departure
things gone but don’t disappear
broken hearts and tears

Dried tears encrust wounds
Of bleeding hearts ensuring
Love's future passage

they dry up, with lessons learned,
and with the lessons, growth, from having learned...

I don't know...maybe the tears evaporate, taken up by the universe.  A broken heart...hmmm... I think it can be mended with time, but the pain is never forgotten.

Hope this makes sense.  I haven't had enough coffee this morning to break dawn's fogginess.

A sad ponder this morning...but a challenge for my mind.

Oh dear, you're probably right - and this is a heartbreaking poem - the talent I've read from you is enough to make me want to burn my pens (wink) - bbuuuuuttt....I couldn't help but think that they went where all of the lost socks went?  Mabye?  Keeping them company?

sigh

I haven't had enough coffee yet this morning.

Yer Awesome!

You turned from me
My heart burst into small bits ~
A sound no one heard.

Yes dear ice...I do believe they must go to the same place...

Teardrops or snowdrops?
Could I choose, I'd break the cold,
embrace new flowers.

old tears crystalize into diamonds of wealth...experience, understanding, and hopefully within a spiritual realm.  Lovely question my friend
