offers of peace
on the table are scraped
into reasons not to

offers of love leave
with the justification
of injury’s
prior

rectifying prayerful poverty
is simply excused
into extinction

piles of selfishness
obstruct sight

an empty plate
makes for a gut
retching

if not for Grace
and Mercy provided
in profusion

starvation would not
seem much
incentive

JellyGirl~

I began to copy the parts that touched me tenderly ... when I looked ... here's what I found -

'offers of peace
on the table are scraped
into reasons not to

offers of love leave
with the justification
of injury’s
prior

rectifying prayerful poverty
is simply excused
into extinction

piles of selfishness
obstruct sight

an empty plate

starvation would not
seem much
incentive'

You are a remarkable poet person~
