I don't expect this one to be liked, but I had such a weekend of hell, and this is all that came out of it....so am posting...that the posting will be a turning point...sigh

Corruption beget sin;
sin beget affliction;
affliction beget deception;
deception beget temptation;
temptation beget disobedience;
disobedience beget bondage;
bondage beget unbelief;
unbelief beget blindness;
blindness beget bitterness;
bitterness beget malice ;
malice beget false pride;
false pride beget hardened hearts;
hardened hearts beget wickedness;
wickedness beget punishment;
punishment beget separation;
and separation beget
damnation;

Love beget sacrifice;
sacrifice beget death;
death beget life;
life beget redemption;
redemption beget mercy;
mercy beget grace;
grace beget forgiveness;
forgiveness beget invitation;
invitation beget submission;
submission beget repentance;
repentance beget cleansing;
cleansing beget humility ;
humility beget hunger;
hunger beget knowledge;
knowledge beget belief;
belief beget faith;
faith beget love;
and love beget
life eternal.

I am puzzled as to why you think this one won't be liked...I thought that the weave of this aptly portrayed the weavings of cause and effect to summate in a grand design quite nicely. A little wearying following the circles within circles, but I didn't think you had any bitterness about it.

Smiling with ya, JB.

You know what they say. "What doesn't kill you, makes you paranoid." grin.

Hugs you.

well you managed to make me smile lady...and this weekend didn't kill me, so I must be paranoid......*smile*
I sensed the weariness in the reading, but my muse refused to reword it and make it more interesting, for it is in its simplicity...life...time after time after time.....even in my own...finding life eternal, I still find myself returning unto anger and malice...and I cannot seperate the 2 cycles....my heart tells me it is one or the other, they do not mix......*shakes and sighs* and I am exhausted and very much on edge today...so thank yo again for the smile, I needed it.....

Speaking of crappy weekends . . .
this made for an interesting read.
I think I have some different rungs on my ladder but I like a bunch of these.
Hope your turn is down a healthier street.

Ummmm... have you ever read Numbers? *G* And you think this wouldn't be liked? *S*

You've drawn the generations well, lady... some limbs of the family tree are hard to trim... they keep sprouting again. *S*

JB, I think your weekend produced an excellent write.  Look for the blessings, my friend.  (Look who's telling who) LOL!!  This poem, Ms. Beans, is one of the blessings...as I see it.  Scout around a bit...I am sure there are others, perhaps in the form of revelations or lessons.  This is what I look for in my day, even with disappointment...such as with something in my life today.  I just know, though, He has a plan and there is a reason for everything.  I might not see it today or tomorrow, but I will some day.  I know...I have seen His work many times in my life, albeit often some where down the road.

OK...I will shut up now.  I hope my reply is relevant to your situation and my words have helped in some small way.

Sometimes (often) I run off at the mouth when a poem touches me as this one did.

Smiling at you and hope you are smiling at me!

Patricia
