Playing By Ear (and not very well)

I caught a rainy
tear drop in my hand
but it disappeared
before I could give it away
I stood at the edge of sand
and held its echoed sound
quickly planted it in
something you could take
but an empty shell
may not be the gift to give you
chased down the lullaby
of the wind hoping it would
gently breeze kiss you
I found a night lit by
the wick of the moon
wished upon the northern sky
it would melt you
then heard the glass crashing
of breaking dawn
I’ve stood on head, opened wide
held a purple breath
spun a heart, fallen to knees
dipped to deeper ink
what does it take to win a heart
how do you start this tune
just what music
does it take to play
please let me know
the notes
to play you

Helen, who could resist all this? I loved
this poem so much that I couldn't pick just
one part to put as my favorite. Incredible
writing, Lady. I hope that you don't mind me
keeping this one.

Beautiful, just beautiful.

And it's a one-to-one exchange...note for note, tear for tear, heart for heart....
