Bent waisted
he ran
a few steps at a time
he ran

he was older
frail
yet he ran

I sat there on the beach
watching oceans flow
until I saw him
running towards me

I couldn't take my eyes
from him
Beauty was he
that ran

I wanted to run
with him
yet to do so
would ruin what he
ran for

I watched him go by
stopping every few seconds
knowing
that he would finish

because he ran

I was on the beach last night and there was some kind of beach run going on.  This man was beautiful in his quest for accomplishing and not giving up, no matter how long it took...I wanted to breath his exhaled breath for just a taste of strength..
