Silent Sonnet

I wrote you
a sonnet
printed it
in the sand
but it
didn’t end up
exactly how
I planned
did you read it
before the tide
rushed in
I wrote it
to you here
for my voice sometimes
goes weak and thin
words from a heart
spread across a beach
large letters
spelled it out
in a desert view
then the sonnet
silently washed away
by the current
on the waves
that it drew
I wrote you
a sonnet
printed it
in the sand
but it
didn’t end up
exactly how
I planned

Well done. I love the way you provoke thought with this piece. I like the idea of having to ponder this for a while. Well written and lovely.

I have only my genius to declare!

Wow....just wow....

Such a wistful little poem....beautifully written...I can see you there on the sand, writing your heart into someothing that you know will be gone so soon...and I can see you just as clearly in the other dimensions of it. I'm keeping this one for sure.
