I rest on wood.
My elbows are pinched
by the Yamaha upright.
May plays double G
with her right hand,
a bridge spans.

She sets her vodka down.
That echo wakes up the glass
cut candy dish set on the wood,
as double G rumbles through May's softest spot.

She speaks in shine. It’s liquor and chords.
Hungarian or Russian?
May’s accent is mashed potatoes,
thinned with snow.
Vodka helps her tell fortunes.

I hug the fox stole, and rent her
hip with another drink, so my hand can
flex on that pillowed bone.

May lights the board an octave lower.
The porcelain lady sitting on the console,
appreciates the notes heating up her skirt.
She hasn’t been this molested in years.

There’s a cracked honey pot,
binding my shoes in slow sugar
to the piano's feet.

I'm a bachelor trapped in amber.

Give what you have.

All I can think is interesting. But I liked it.

Cold hands means a warm heart
