A Butterfly Sings

he showed
me things
on waxen
wings
in a lesson
to fly
just untie
the strings
and a
butterfly sings
soaring through
the sky

There's nothing better, though,
than becoming the butterfly.

It's not as easy for us girls to untie the strings. I still live in the same town as my mama. Just can't seem to let go. So I think it's harder for us in all things. Just my thinking.

Hi 1slick_lady...

This is absolutely lovely. The title made me curious, and now I'm glad I stopped by! One for the library.
