~* A Grateful Heart *~

Like any other day
the ocean called me,
but ...
Today is different.
I weep in praise of
my surroundings
as I have never
done before.

So still I watch,
as salty tears
wash away in
a sea of happiness.

Today, my tears
are velvet soft
dripping sweetness
of unspoken words
that humbly tells
of my love of life.

Alone, I listen
to the naked silence
and in this
absolute silence
I can finally hear
the very first
peaceful song
of a grateful heart

~*~

Thank God!

I don't want to know where I am going, it'll ruin my journey.

Carpe' Diem

Beautifully written Sharon. This digs deep into the well of thankfulness. Some days, our appreciation for life overflows, and these words captured this with a tenderness and sincerity that I could feel.

Best wishes and big hugs, my friend,
/Kit

(tears fall down my cheeks) Oh Sharon, you have no idea how much this touched me, dearest friend, when I was a little boy and I used to see the ocean I felt so weak and powerless and felt incapable of lifting any burdens like the ebb of the tides, and when I refrained from saying farewell to this semi-cruel world because I believe God was pushing me back and proving to me His strength exists to the faithful, I now look to the ocean and cry in joy and that is where I want to live! (big hugggssssssss) God Bless You, sweet friend, yay, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Sharon, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,
Noah Eaton

How much we take our senses and surroundings for granted. This was exceptional Sharon and I'm glad I bumped into it.

Stay well sweet friend ...

Well, the day I got news I was indeed going to be okay from my doctors, the dam burst, and I will share what happened as feelings are meant to be shared with friends, I was reminded, and not penned up inside.  I went to the seawall with a neighbour after the doctor, and suddenly I started wailing and crying, and screaming so they tell me, the dam of fear I had been living in for a long, long time finally burst, and there I was attracting a crowd in that gratitude.  My friends know me so guess what I did when I realized I had an audience?  I prayed out loud to the one person who knows why I had been spared, and I will every day for the rest of this grateful heart's life.

So thank each of you for reading this, it was in fact part of that prayer.

Carpe' Diem

I am SO glad you're better and will be better still... and this prayer of thankfulness is as beautiful as the heart it poured from. *S*
