Do I use the one I love?
Simply because I need to love

Clutch of cold
Embracing soul
Where do I go
From here

Do I devour his sweetness
Because it is new to me?

Eye of know
Keeping control
What do I see
From here?

Do I flaunt his beauty
To tell the world I am worthy?

Disarray of thought
Seeking something sought
Where do I find
My answers?

I like the answers...your heart will tell you, time will tell, and as icebox said, just show up, for how can love find a place to grow without willing hearts...James

Hello Susan! Go with your gut, I say! The instinct knows. And yes, there is an element of selfishness to love. It just is. Without ego, we'd probably never have the resolve to offer ourselves up.

Good to read your words!

You CAN'T ruin him (unless of course you are so rough with him that he breaks).  At worst you will give him wonderful memories for his dotage.

(Give him a copy of Ben Franklin's book, "In Praise Of Older Women")

I find that I often times question everything, too.. Wouldn't it be wonderful to just do it?

Wonderful write, Susan dear..

LOL @ Icy and Aenimal..

I just dropped in here before I hit the treadmill..(I have a love/hate relationship with it and today is hate's turn)

You guys are the best! I love you all...

Aenimal...go with the older one's we know tricks...

Icy~I am looking that book up on the internet. Funny story in light of all this: I went out with him last night we order a couple of beers and he gets carded...uh...that's right..JUST him!! EEk! I proceeded to tell the waiter what was wrong with that and then I got the "pity" card...sigh....got my beer though..damn it.

Corinne~Thank you, that is exactly what I am trying to do.

Enchanting One~Thank you!

Dan~Thank you! And I hope I always do!

Kaoru~Yes that would be wonderful and after last night...screw it, me and Demi know what we are doing...lol...
