Am I worthy of this?
These slow, melodic outcries of sorrow
Slowly strung through this sea of keys
Resonating sounds like rippling waves on a pond
Each phrase rippling with intensity
Like a pebble slowly flung with a child's hand
Hitting the water with graceful contact
Leaving smooth hills of clear, green moss water
Am I a worthy candidate to hear this melody?
I'm being taken in
For what do I get someone asks
Do I get money for playing this?
Do I get praise?
Do I get a house?
Do I get any material?
To this person I say
You get to see life in a higher perspective
Bewildered moment stained across their face
As the unworthy walk away
