Sitting by the fire
Hearing the crackles of the sparks
Seeing the wood fall into place
The bark slowly sliding off of its surface
Feeling the warmth
I feel safe
I cant seem to leave this haven
No worries are here
as I snuggle deeper into my chair
I dont have to think
I dont have to care
Sounds like Im lazy
But Im just afraid
I dont know whats out there
So for now I sit by the fire
My warmth
My protection
From all the evils that lay outside
outside of this chair
away from the fire

Let it rain... Nice write and welcome to Passions! I enjoyed this.

If tears could build a stairway and memories a lane, I'd walk right up to heaven and bring you home again.
