On Growing Younger

Fifty
Half a century
Halfway finished
I can feel my arteries hardening
My skin folding
My hair spinning gray
The younger woman threatens
My career
My marriage
My happiness
So I must fight
I must disown Father Time
I apply my warpaint
(CoverGirl receives my children's inheritance)
I must battle against the mocking birthday candles
I filet my lipid thighs
Mold my elephantine face
My body is no longer my own
It belongs to anohter woman
But she is young
I am satisfied
Until fifty-one

I like! I like!
I really like the warpaint. Raw! Raw! to Covergirl. Lovely, the end is prefect.

Young girls are thin, flexable, used and patted on the head. 40 plus women make love with their hearts, their aches and their sense of life. You send that message loud and clear. God bless everyone of your wrinkles, love handles and make up applicators! You are real and you know it! BTW, I loved this write.

I have only my genius to declare!

Let's get out our old cheerleading outfits, girls..
Not only will we have the spirit, but I'm sure it'll turn a few heads.

GreaaaaaTTT write! To the library! (batcave?)

Oh god, the age thing again...sigh

You know, I have never used cover girl a day in my life...(maybe I should?)

And I am pretty sure I can beat the crap out of most younger women/girls...

and last but not least....ah..nevermind...

Here's to us old broads!!! (sp?)

I enjoyed the read!
