Will things be different?
You say to wait
and I surrender to waiting
because what else can I do with myself
while trying not to watch the calender
for the next moment I get to be with you.
The words have abandoned me
just as you have
and I am desperate for some escape
from this wild sadness
that has grown thick vines
around the neck of my heart.
I have waited for far too long
and yet what else have I to do
but dream of your skin
next to mine in silence?
Even the moon has a cruel face
during the times
that missing you takes the shape
of some bludgeoning monster.
I dream of taking drives with you
down old roads
while watching your profile
studying the curves
and obstacles
and the taste of your smile
in my eyes
as you realize you're being studied
by my heart.
I write crazy things these days
journal entries full of words
tripping over themselves
while all the while
just underneath that rambling
I am missing you so much
that I can barely find the time to breathe.
I have tried blocking your voice
from my memory
but I still puddle
every time you say hello
or "I love you."
But I fail to dream of you
with eyes closed
in the full wrap of sleep
so in that brief solace
my heart has time to heal
only to be wounded again
when the sunlight
weilded by morning
touches on my outstretched wrist
and sends a shiver of missing you
through every drop of liquid
that fills my veins.
Good night, Darling.
In sleep
I can forget you for a while.

Dear John,
IF YOU'RE TIRED OF PRETENDING..
THEN WHY DID YOU GO BACK INTO HIDING?

Reminds me of one of those kind of relationships that is always just a little out of reach...for this reason or that reason...James

Ohhhhhh I do love that part ... well ... actually the entire thing.

Lovely read here, dear friend, and one that I can totally relate to ... oh yes indeed.

Just hold on to ... soon.

always seeking joy, adventure and romance and wishing you find the same

Remember that love never abandons, love always remains.

Well done my friend.

Good God...this was wonderful!
...as always I pluck a favorite line...

"and I am desperate for some escape
from this wild sadness
that has grown thick vines
around the neck of my heart."

You have captured so many emotions that come from Missing someone so much.

I enjoyed this so very much, it touched my heart.

Thanks  Fee

Temptress, I understand this so very much....
except, I even dream of mine when we aren't together.
So, I'm thinking of him ever single moment, it seems.
It does hurt so badly to be apart from the love
of your life. Doesn't it? I know....

Hugs to you

Holy Mother!!!

First you have got to warn a person...

I was eating a very yummy chicken ceasar salad when I starting reading this and by the third line I was eating dust...

"You say to wait
and I surrender to waiting
because what else can I do with myself
while trying not to watch the calender
for the next moment I get to be with you."

Good lord, I have lived those lines...even when it appears to the outside world that I have moved on....I wait...

I love this if you can't tell.  Bravo!

This is full of such sadness and longing, but written with only the beauty that you can do.Every line pulled at my heartstrings.
