* * *

A mother brings forth life
Which is the greatest gift of all
She will be your best supporter
With her love you will stand tall

A mother's heart beats for her children
It goes everywhere they go
She tells them in so many ways
How much she loves them so

A mother provides a shelter
As she guides you through the storm
Her arms will give protection
Her love alone will keep you warm

A mother's love is priceless
She is worth her weight in gold
'tho the years may age her body
Her love will never grow old

A mother's arms are always open
Her love forever by your side
She is someone you can count on
In her you always can confide

A mother can take the place of others
But her place no one can take
She will stand right by her children
'tho bad decisions they might make

A mother lives life for her children
She's like the left hand to their right
Her love is comforting and inspiring
She'll always be a guiding light

* * *

"A mother's love is so strong and unyielding
that it usually endures all circumstances.
A mother's love perceives no impossibilities."

I am in motion
I am blue
Love is an ocean
I'm anchored in you

Hi Sue, what a heartwarming piece and one that I will treasure. It's hard to have my three 'babies' grown and out of the house. I can't imagine where those years went.

I love this stanza and believe me, there were days my boys made some really dumb decisions ...

'tho bad decisions they might make

The picture is perfect.  Hugs, Marti

Sue:  Anyone blessed with the love of a good mother is very fortunate!  Your poem certainly illustrates that fact. Lovely sentiments!

~ A touching write. Full of love and appreciation for mothers everywhere. My own Mom certainly came to my mind! Thank you!

(big hugggsssssss) God Bless You, sweet freind, this made me cry because you are the mother that every child would dream to have, with a compassionate, golden heart that gives, understands, and reaches for the needs of children! (kiss on cheek) I only wish every mother and father could love like this, sweet friend, if I become a father in the future, I want to love my kids just like this, yay, thank you so much for sending me the link because I never like missing your poetry, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Sue, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,
Noah Eaton
