I pretend sleep
As your lips gently
Brush my hair
Such love is in a kiss
Bestowed on the unaware

Some days I wonder
How you could love someone
So difficult
And other days I just
Accept
Gratefully

I know I can be a lot to handle
And I grow ever more amazed
That you do it so artfully

I pray I never let you down
I pray that you continue
To kiss me as I sleep

I once complained to my brother that my husband was just "oblivious" to me.

He laughed at me.

He said, "The man is oblivious out of self-defense."

(I get NO respect, I tell ya. )

You made me smile with this one. I can be handful too.

Susan,

you say you're a fan of mine well, I don't think that works..

since I'm a fan of yours.

This will be in my library, if you need it later.
Amazing write, doll.

"Some days I wonder
How you could love someone
So difficult..."

Love is not logical.

...it is magical.

Nice poem.

Oh Susan, this is such a heartfelt write...so beautiful and touching.  Dang!  I wish had someone who kissed me as I slept.
But I just got out of the box of paradox, so now I am alone once more!  And by the way, the arms as a shield...Nah, doesn't work!  LOL

Love this!

Tender, tender, tender. This was indeed a sweet vision. What else do you write about? I would love other facets of your writing.

I have only my genius to declare!

Moni,

Thank you!  Funny you should ask, because I was thinking about it yesterday and decided I am bi-polar with what I write.  You just never know if it is going to be sweet, hateful, or whatever else...when you go a hunting make sure you look in archives (not just for me, there are plenty other writers in here that far, far surpass me).

You are going to love it here!!

A lament, I'm sure, shared by many!
...but maybe not with your humility and passion.

Awww, one of those things that makes your heart melt...Sheesh girl.. that's twice now I boo-hooed reading you... You are the sweetest thing. My goodness someone ought to bottle your tender heart, and make this planet a sweeter place!
Bless ya bunches for the sweet writes that just melt the heart.
Lovely as they always are,

Well, the nice thing about real magic is that belief is not required.

So, this bite thing, I mean are we talking really hard bites?  Or, play bites?  Or, are we just talking...you know...like...little nibbles?

...and whose age are you worried about?

Just as one intellectual to another, I am simply curious.

i havent cooked a meal for the guy in years
house looks like it was hit by a hurricane
i complain and complain,
but truthfully, the way i am,
what other man would want me ?
for more than a moment
