If my body leaves this place of life to rest within the ground

I’m with you and still happy, finding peace where others go
And always grateful of the time that I had chance to know

I sleep among the flowers now to wake with every morn
I sleep with buds of beauty now that waken with the dawn

I ride upon the sunshine and I dance among the trees
I share with bees their honey and the singing of the breeze

My spirit is immortal and the essence of my heart
My body, time's forsaken, but my love will never part

I’m with you as you ponder and I hold you with my love
I share with you my heaven and the peace I found above

I’m there when you’re remembering the times we both did share
I’m where all spirits journey now and travel everywhere

I’m the thought that breaks your sadness,
the light that you can see
Mere death was not my ending; it was where life set me free

Lest not forget those gone

Rick...how wonderful this verse...Goodness, I kept feeling my eyes opening wider with each line. Just awesome!
