upon the foremost pitter patter
I asked the poem "What's the matter?"
by "he" or "she" or "it" to tell
of tender feet whose arches fell

I asked the poem "why so long?
because the meter’s measured wrong?”
before I asked the poem more
a rhythmic rap came on the door

in came floating silver eye
ruby lips were followed by
a chest of moon an eye bonanza
a cause to write another stanza

antiquity approached this poem
I only ended so forth knowing
that feeling may not coincide
with meaning giveth suicide

Hey, walt. I don't see much of you here, but
I do like your writes when I do see you. I especially
liked this ending of this one.....

in came floating silver eye
ruby lips were followed by
a chest of moon an eye bonanza
a cause to write another stanza

antiquity approached this poem
I only ended so forth knowing
that feeling may not coincide
with meaning giveth suicide

Very good, with a touch of humor.

It's wonderful to read you again Walt. Still a light whimsical touch that shouldn't fool the reader--you always have the depth there, m'friend.

now gimme a hug?
