Standing on the border,
between sanity and hatred's twisted bliss
where forgiveness and patience are left behind
beside the sense of danger,
where revenge is always sweet
and acting out the most brutal fantasies
of hedonistic retribution
comes easily, and from the heart,
I see you running out ahead of me,
freshly bathed in urgency,
prancing with a bitter smile
naked in the icy winds of change.

Icy,

God this was so good!  There really aren't words to express..

"between sanity and hatred's twisted bliss"

That line is my favorite.  Another master piece my friend (Don't argue, this is my party).

Hugs, Susan

I began to quote favourite lines from your poem then I realised I was quoting the whole poem. I love every single line. The imagery is fantastic.

scarey that I think I see myself in here somewhere..
and yet I contradict who I am and how I feel at the turn of every moment..

Enjoyed as usual

You do know how to build an image, my friend...I love the texture of this one, and the 26,718 dimensions in it.....

Seeming contradictions make such visuals interesting and sharply focused.  You are such a good writer!
