paperweights above me,

panoramas of grey
form the bigtop,

pressing trees,
they hold me hostage,

pastels do not breathe now,

it is all enclosure -
the storms are held within,

there is neither pain nor delirium,

cried over rivers cannot bear me,

cotton candy is too sweet here,
it only sings like a toothache,

i am soothed in warm flannel,
cradled in the charcoal rosebud,

there is beauty in isolation,

nocturnal,
i am calm here

"i am soothed in warm flannel"

mmmm, this immediately brings up a feeling of comfort

There's nothing like a good fight with a horse to put your problems into perspective

Yes, everyone needs a place to feel comfortable but its sad when the day is "darker" than the night....

Never having experienced the Time of the Month except with denial I can only imagine the thoughts that must go thru your head. If it was my time of the month I dont think I would deny......
