I feel the time has pushed me there
a place that no one wants to know
where words twist hearts and bleed them dry.
I think it's time, it's to go.

So if I don't appear to you
if only thoughts of mine escape
I am there in your mind, perhaps
but here is where I blank the tape.

I think it's time for me to go...
You know it too, I know you know...

funny isn't it, how the heart seems to know, there is no more...

Say it isn't so, M
I do hope this is only figurative . . .
I'd hate to have to rely on the archives to find you.

"I think its time for me to go.
You know to too."  I know you do.
Part of any relationship is the necessity of knowing when to call it quits...or when to settle for a friendship...its hard if one wants more than the other can give, or wants to give...James

In Response:

It's insane to love when it cannot be returned.
Just as I let him go,
when told I wasn't loved anymore.
Who wants someone in their life who cannot love you
or has changed his feelings, as if feelings,
true feelings, can really change that much.

Maybe if I had been more like her,
more hooker and less "Marm"
maybe then he would have looked through my clothes,
noticed I was just as curvy,
maybe even more so over the years,
and had much more to offer
than a moment's rise and fall.

Am I envious of her? Certainly not.
Jealous? No, just disheartened
by the choices made by each,
leaving me no choice of my own.

So I am going, because I cannot change
what I feel in my heart and I can no longer
watch what tears me apart.

Sometimes I think I lack courage,
other times I think I am too opinionated
for my own good,
but most times I am just me,
someone who like most,
just wants to recapture that feeling
of being loved
and know it wasn't all a lie.

Thank you for reading Lee, s.a.g. and James M.
I appreciate each one of your responses.

Maureen

I so understand how you feel. It is so painful to love someone, who doesn't love you back. Hugs to you, my friend.
