All alone there he stands,
All alone there he cries.
Why he's all alone, he can't understand...
but so hard he tries.

Will it always be like this?
Will he always be a hit and miss?

These sort of questions asked,
as his identity becomes masked.

Memories flood his brain...
they weren't all full of pain.

Some quite happy,
Some rather sappy.

Ancient memories they are,
Somehow leaving a harsh scar.

Wiping tears from his eyes,
He has nothing better to do;
so he sits and and cries

Tsk....new guy makes rookie mistake, dumps his hard drive.....I was lined up to do that myself, back in the day, but an old-timer warned me off from it just in time...

'S ok, if that's the worst you ever do around here, you're in fat city!

I like your introspection in this one, and the way you move the poem all around that poor devil without giving him any respite. You're gonna do just fine around here, new fella!

Tequilla_Sunrise, minoune, and lilythumbs (and wicka_basket, too, should you decide to join the conversation), please note:

Since you all appear to be sitting at the same keyboard, it might be better if you carried on your conversations right there and saved yourself the trouble of typing them. It would also be a very nice way to share the main poetry pages with our other Members, all of whom would probably like their fair turn on the first page of the poetry list. Being considerate of others, I think you'll discover, is a good thing to do. Deception, on the other hands, is a bad thing.

Im very offened and do not enjoy being accused of stealing others ppl's time. i know yesterday i posted alot but im sorry i did not know that there was a limit. everyone makes mistakes.

Tequilia, I never said the four usernames had to necessarily be the same people. I suspected it, but I didn't say it. In your email to me, you said you were at a local college in Ontario and "most ppl in my class have an account, maybe that’s why." I'm really glad that so many people from your college, who you don't even know, independently discovered these forums within days of each other. I'll put it down to coincidence that all of them registered from not only the same location, but the same exact computer you had been using. I'll put it down to coincidence that they all chose to comment on each other's poems. Your step mother did indeed register from a different computer, and continues to post from that same computer. But you also used that computer, which obviously tied the two of you together.

Needless to say, Tequilia, the Internet isn't always as anonymous as some might think. There are digital footprints left everywhere you go, though frankly, spending the time to follow them can be a little irritating. I hope I don't feel the need to spend that time again any time soon.

You are certainly welcome to participate here, as is your step mother. All I've asked, and continue to ask, is that people be consider of others. That really doesn't take Guidelines or rules. Just common sense and decency.

its really sad to think that you cannot leave a message to your stepdaughter, without someone getting upset about it.  All of my posts have been from me and me alone...   Seeing that my stepdaughter does come and visit... wouldn't it seem normal that she use our computer if need be? Now, maybe using your time constructively, rather than picking on people like us, would be a good idea... oh and secondly.... as much as i have posted , i have responded to others because what they have written was deserving of it... you didn't seem to have a problem with that... now did you... I felt that it was my way of telling my stepdaughter how i felt... i am sure that noone, other than you minded...

Minoune, had your relationship with your step-daughter been made clear, I would never have bothered to mention anything, nor had any reason to do so. Had you been the only person related to her to respond and post, I probably still wouldn't have said anything. But when four different usernames are registered and linked together by location and computer, and three of those usernames are talking to each other in the same thread, something needs to be said if only to eliminate confusion and the appearance of deceit.

I'm really glad to see you supporting your step-daughter's writing. And I hope you'll stick around to enjoy the poetry of our other very talented Members. With an honest, up-front understanding of who is who, everyone here can only benefit.
