where the wild flowers grow

Bitter seclusion,
I want to set you afire.
My eyes would flare with
your reflection.
Flicker, my lips pay no mind
to being cast away

etch my name
upon your conscience
why do you hold
this rose in clenched fist
blood and petals
slip through fingers
scattered in the wind

oh, why  we bend
so sour red.
sore hands have held
your kiss, like peppermint.
Swirled, our sins..
Still picking thorns from palms..
a garden of unanswered prayers.

beneath the skin
i buried deep your promise
but nothing grows in
frozen earth
your distance frosts
the seed of we

And I..we..
trust not the fire that burns here,
fault of water that falls from inside..
iced tears that we have cried, melting away..
I will hold your seclusion,
as if it were not my own.

Oh, so well done, the both of you.  The meld...you each spoke as if you had inhabited each other's mind...

Bravo!  Brava!

I love each of your writing seperately, but it's ten times more powerful when done together. Bravo
