In Your Poetic Mind

0 posted 2003-08-11 12:46 PM

You carved shapeless marble
             in soul design
built no cathedrals --

{I think of her hands,  such
             quiet hands--mostly
        when the sun fades

        how, with faith, I climbed
many heights
lost, alone     silence
became a true friend}

Somewhere upon
       the restless sea

riches of earth passed me by --
I longed for hours of
  quietness when I         would
know tranquility

{Strange how fingers of memories
hold         small things  --   lamplight     fireflies   you}

but it's time I--

Smooth the folds,
         lay the veil in starlight,
your fragrance
still haunting    my threads of life
    {I am so thankful}

Kneel a moment,

where sunlight casts its gold
upon the ground

Fades leaves  fell
among her roses

--

These tears, I now  understand

The way you move me
I walk with your shadow
With your silhouette
Leave the light on
It always comes
Back to you

Oh my god, that was just beautiful.

Sometimes I go prospecting for things I've missed -- it seems that the best things tend to fall through unnoticed.

Like this one almost did.

(big hugggsssssss) Oh my gosh, this is sooooooo beautiful, sweet friend, this made me cry as it is soooooo lovely and reminded me of autumn in particular with the golden leaves being indications of fleeting moments! (sigh) God Bless You, sweet friend, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Lauren, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,

Oh my Lauren ........

Smooth the folds,
         lay the veil in starlight,
your fragrance

Kneel a moment,

upon the ground

*whispering* oh Lauren..........

Very lovely, there is an awe and humbleness in your writing.  It seems in loneliness we find ourselves and appreciate those finer gifts.
