At the Bar

I wait the unseen
Unknown to my eyes of blue,
A slate that starts clean,
What will become when we’re through;
Quick ending or starting new

The fans spun,
Nothing was begun,
All possibilities stop,
But fans spun.
I didn’t mind drinking wine
But possibilities lost
Were not worth the cost
After drinking all alone;
Just went home.

Driving in Thoughts

Years change roads,
Small sticks become the tall trees
That line roads
Swaying in the twilight breeze,
Twilight is so late,
Deep in heated summertime,
The once familiar,
Is now very new to mind
And this tired brain
Wants the things that youth held
But it is for naught,
The absence was as if yelled,
And I drive thinking
Of possibilities there,
My thoughts are asking
Does absence mean there’s no care?

I catch most every light red,
Time for thoughts to roll my head,
With conversation unsaid,
Left with silence screams instead

Reading your posts, i felt the lonliness there.   I hope that today brings smiles to you... as will tomorrow..

Thank you, minoune,
For taking the time to read and respond,
And for your wishes,
But loneliness is something I am well familiar with
Some might say I cause my own loneliness.
It is a pain I’ve grown to accept.

Hey Gloomy, come out to Jax, Fl., I will have a drink with you...

While reading this I felt like I was the sad shadow watching you...

Loved it.

Thank you, Susan,
Thank you, Susan,
You are very kind in your praise,
But I guess the reason my poetry sinks
Is either because no one reads it or don’t think it rates a response,
No matter, I write to please myself
If someone else also enjoys, that is good also.

Thank you, Helen,
The roads a keep on changing,
I drove down a road I hadn’t drive in more than twenty years;
The changes, the memories, sigh
