i don't breathe
i gasp
when you enter with the
the olive branch already trampled
underfoot of your
steel-toed boots
that found home in my
ribcage and
the day your ears became
resistant
to my screams
i knew i was
wife, prey, victim
recipiant of abuse
whatever synonym you choose they all mean
hunted

I hope that you are far, far away from this.
Painful but well written.

Painful, sad, and well put. Good stuff.

"whatever synonym you choose they all mean
hunted"
I liked this line the most, This poem is filled with emmotion and pain, it makes me think of all the people out there who are "hunted" as you say. I liked this poem immensily!

Oh, my goodness. I don't know what else to say as this write has taken me aback. Very intense and well written. Chris
