A Dedication

She closes the book
                                           removes her glasses

her hand passing over the poet’s printed name ~

she has known many Patricias in her lifetime

however,

this Patricia’s poetry
                                               Settling
leaves her unsettled
with thoughts wandering
as far as her inner eye might see

and she tries to pull back
her beliefs
from the sky

to tie them like ribbons
on the barbed wire

that she might see them
wave
in the wind.

~*~

Inspired by Patricia Ranzoni
Dedicated to P.P.

Karilea,

the sky... to hear the words and see
the signs.  My dear sister of verse,
you have taught me so much in a short

own wings of intuition, but as I
take to the air, you will never
leave me.

You are forever a part of me.

Very nice replies, poets.  Thank you!  Patricia Ranzoni is a very interesting read.  You can HEAR her eastern accent as you read her poetry...

This is a charming tale of a deep bond, told with  much heart.  Now I need to read some of Patricia's work.  KJ

Above the theme of this fine write is the sense that women can exchange such soul-sister feelings with such warmth and sincerity.  Men have all they can do to convey it to the one they love.  lol  KJ

Interesting that you say that, KayJay.  I've had many Patricias walk into my life, from grade school through current day.  All have offered me a unique perspective to life.  I am grateful for each and every one of them...
