Stuck within
Love's eternal slumber
Now dreaming
Death's final number
The remains of
my beating heart
Shall always belong
To the fair Sir Lancelot
Yet I curse
the very day
I Set eyes upon
He who captured
my very essence
my very dreams
my very last breath
Shall he love me now
As I haunt
The shores of Camelot
and his waking dreams and nightmares
forevermore
For I am
And always shall be
The Lady of Shalott...

Ceinwyn - this is a most beautiful graphic, and the poem is telling of within... A great blending...

Ahhh,Ceinwyn
You seem to know how poor Elaine,
With frozen blood,felt, sent afloat.
Her sin, a gaze at passing knight
Whose love would not placate
(which broke)
The mirror in her tower cell
(Or so says Alfred Lords, long note)
And only by the maidens death,
Could the evil spell be broke.
*
But mortal, warm, of her you write;
Perhaps you be her incarnate?
*
Tennyson would have liked this poem..:-)

Kris . . .
you write wuth such conviction
as if you truly were her . . .

Yet I curse
the very day
I Set eyes upon
He who captured
my very essence
my very dreams
my very last breath

and this . . . is a crime in itself
beautiful
