Here, We Are

here

echoes
of life,
love’s rhythm,
float above the stream
drifting,
rippling
down a random path
over rocks,
rills;
splendor whispers
our names

we cry
gentle tears
you caress away
my fears
with your tender touch
your sweet promises

we rest
in the union that is us
our love
our living
our common heart

roses and strawberries
grow beside the brook,
bubbling with vitality,
they weave a spell
of wonder

holding our hearts
fast
yet with a delicate tether
that will not be broken
because of the sweet,
succulent power of it

we are

instrumental tune's title so
I wouldn't be influenced as to
the subject.)

Whether on the shoal or on the shore,
I'll seek the lighthouse evermore.

Virginia, what a beautiful love poem this is.
And this part is absolutely gorgeous!!!

roses and strawberries
grow beside the brook,
bubbling with vitality,
they weave a spell
of wonder

And, I  do  know this wonderful feeling...it's an amazing feeling!!
Hugs
Ethel
