When the day closes its curtains
With the approaching of the night
The moon makes an appearance
As it casts its white light

In the quiet of the evening
I take your hand in mine
As we stroll beneath the moonlight
Where a million stars shine

The birds begin to roost
Up in the old oak tree
As we walk along the pavement
Arm in arm, just you and me

We stop at the street corner
And you tenderly kiss my face
Then I feel your arms around me
I'm safe and warm in your embrace

These nights I'll most remember
Sharing hopes and dreams with you
My life has been enriched
With you my dreams have all come true
