Etched in the illusion of time

(I'm considering this for publication, should I do it?)

Bleeding little lullabies, my soul sighed
Rocking eventide's child 'til she slept sound
Mind woven through a daydream, ne'er unbound
I lived in sultry splendor as heav'n died
Morning, morning, show not your fair disgrace
Whilst I, lavished in ginger, did send rain
'Pon the tongue of deserts like sweet champagne
And danced 'round midnight in ebony lace
Arabia pines, so delicately
Its waltz rendered lies of barren judgement
Long hair tainting sand with glories unspent
As my head finds rest 'neath shadowed palm trees
Thirsting for the rhythm inside my head
'Tis better to sleep throughout the unsaid

For saints have hands that pilgrims' hands do touch,
And palm to palm is holy palmers' kiss.--"Romeo and Juliet"

Very nice. You should go for it.I thought I was good enough, but wonderful writers like you show me so much more I have to learn.

Indigo

I don't know that much about sonnets, but this is very beautiful to read, for sure!
