The Tangled Web
You knock on the door so softly
As I cross the room, my heart races
I wonder if you will recognize mine
Among your sea of empty faces

I hold my arms open to embrace you
And you reach to pull me near
And as we weave our web of lies
I never share your fear

I look up and into your eyes
As I pause to take off my ring,
And wonder how you can look into mine
And always smile, but not feel a thing

Oh my.  I'm not yet sure where your first post is, but this is hard-hitting and forthright.  Welcome to Passions!

Karilea - if I whisper, will you listen?

Thank you Sunshine.

I am a brand new poet.   Quite by accident I started to write as an outlet for my anguish.
