so shall you knock and it will be opened

Hatred and hurt -- the darkness and I
hand in hand we shoved every
                glimmer deep down under
                   I shudder to drag them
                        from obscurity's
And                         blanket                         And
    what                                                       what
       of                                                        of
          dreams                                    hopes
shall I resurrect the long ago buried
                    and bring them out of
                           the darkness
                               into the
                                  light

How shall I take down                                                       the           w
                                          the                                        leaving           a
    What if I don't                 wall                                        it                        l
      like what                        it                                    scale                         l
    I find I have                    took                                 to                                 i
       hidden                          so                              best                                   n
       inside?                     many                          be                                            t
                                      years                       not                                               a
                                           to                     it                                                       c
                                       build               might                                                        t
dare I
      leave my battle
                       scarred security
                                            behind
                                                   dare I chance
a walk out into  the                      light         ?

I was helping on some html and finally figured out how to post this, and so even though its technically a repost, just wanted to do it cause I couldn't get before *jb smile*

Walking into the light seems like a scary journey to breaking down the walls. All the best to you.

The visual is interesting, but the poem already is a powerful piece.

I dare...for when light comes darkness must go.  His light brings truth which guides our way.  I know.

I am keeping this JB...if you don't mind!  Awesome write unfolding in a wonderful image on the page.

Patricia

Jellybeans..I enjoyed this format, although I found it distracted a bit from gathering meaning from the poem...which is profound.

I remember when we were doing a lot of graphical art with our words...somewhere around here I have a waterfall...heaven help me, don't know what I named it.

The words packed a punch, m'dear...a good read for all...

JB - this is amazing!
Glad you reposted, I never saw it.
Not only are the words brilliant
but the execution is essential here
I am in awe, truly
(can you tell me how to do this please)

JB, I love the way you did this.
I know it took a lot of work. It was
very interesting to read. I love the
poem, too.

This looks very much like some of the tan-lines I saw in Hawaii....but with colors reversed........

This is excellent -- I've got to learn how this is done, so I can do nifty concrete poetry too....
