Stasis appeals
Loss of a single second
Would sunder my heart.
But love and ponds
Become stagnant
For want of motion
So move with me
Abide in me
Coalesce body and spirit.
We'll live, progress
Share each lasting moment
Into the stillness
Of repletion
That yet hungers.

Laura, this is so moving....

There are poems I don't like much, and poems I like very much.....and there are poems I wish I'd written. That's what kind this one is. A beautiful thought, beautifully told -- hold on to both, they're precious.

Patricia: Thank you so much, kind lady. *S*

Toerag: Your pond stagnant??? Never! *G* I just won't believe that could happen. *S* Thank you so much, my friend... but nope... this was from the now dead Nikon... not my new toy. *S*

Well, hello gorgeous!

love the pic.

and the poem, is different too, yes?

I like the tone of distance here--and yet, it's very intensely intimate.

hmmm...

and I'm pouting too, after seeing your pic.

(I feel so...inadequate...)

Oh Suthern! This is the first of your poems I have read in awhile and its flow is spectacular! It reminds me of the strength I feel at work. The word usage and shortness of sentencing really keep your eyes locked in, draws you toward their end. Bravo!
