We move beyond the simple
pleasures of our bodies.

Yes...the thickness of desire
still hangs humid in the
air.

We taste it on the words we
speak.

And the weight of fingers pressed
warm across the flesh...thrills
to a deepness past the
bone.

This will never change.

Yet we have opened doors that
lead to higher worlds.

We have glimpsed the
ocean.

And now nothing else
will do -

But to swim in holy
waters.

There aren't any words to really express what I think of this tender write. So, let it suffice to say...

Lovely, with *sighs*

Eric - these are the most beautiful lines I have ever read:

Yet we have opened doors that
lead to higher worlds.

We have glimpsed the
ocean.

will do -

But to swim in holy
waters.

Dear Eric, your poems are gifts to treasure forever. And these "Holy Waters" you speak of, unleash such deep longing .... a thirst that can't be stilled, unless we cross those doors to higher worlds.
Wonderful words.
I love you. Margherita
