Writing I write because I must expel All the flotsam in my well The haughtiness, the naughtiness All the ire of mind ingest For I must digest my spoon of ilk I take it with a little milk I swill it down in subtle damn And then I look upon the Spam And Spam throws coal upon the fire And Ire and smoke hides’ desire And that let’s loose my dragon’s wild And I become a rotten child Yet There are times of mist velour That teases me with dew of lure When sparkling dazzling crystal light Pierce the blindness of the night It’s Then that I am cast in spore To the magic of the awe |
